80-year-old California man fights off armed robber on his own – this isn’t a good place to pick

Craig Cope, an 80-year-old man from Norco, California.

Stunned himself and the rest of the Norco town on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, when he defended his liquor shop against armed thieves.

His bravery resulted in the apprehension of the shooters, removing a few of the criminals from the town.

And any possible customers who may have entered the store during the heist.

Former cope bought his booze business, Norco Market and Liquor, in 1976, and it became   life throughout the years.

As a result, as danger loomed, he felt he had to act to protect his legacy.

On that fateful day, the elderly guy was watching the surveillance video in his business.

When he noticed a black vehicle pull up in a dark location away from the typical parking lot.

That’s when he observed armed guys exiting the truck, their faces concealed beneath masks.

Cope recognized he just had a split second to determine what to do as the truth of the situation dawned on him.

Cope answered by ringing a shot through the air in his direction, causing him to run.

As the gunman exited the store, he clutched his arm and screamed that Cope had shot his arm off.

The shooter who was shot bolted towards the waiting car.

While he was still screaming and clutching his arm.

The others swiftly started the engine and sped away as one of them raced to get into the backseat.

Therefore, Cope stated he was terrified for his life, but felt he had to be ready after seeing the gun aimed at him.

When emergency personnel came, they discovered the brave business owner in critical condition and took him to a nearby hospital.

Cope has now been released from the hospital and is recuperating at his Riverside home.
