An 8-year-old boy wrote a book and secretly planted it in the library: He received the best writer award

Many people want to read it.

Meet Dillon Helbig, a sophomore and a new star in the world of literature.

A boy who is only eight years old wrote his first book in December and has made it his goal to promote it by simply leaving the book on the shelves of the municipal library.

In mid-December 2021, the boy, inspired by the spirit of Christmas, wrote a book called Dillon Helbig’s Christmas Adventures – An 81-page, hand-illustrated tome by the young author.

For example, in the first chapter, entitled “Towards the North Pole”, a winter landscape is drawn with pencils.

After the book was finished, Dillon devised a plan to attract readers.

One day, while going to the library with his grandmother, he secretly put the book on the children’s shelf.

Of course, the boy didn’t care.

The story has been identified in the section of novels for children and adolescents.

There was a long queue for The Adventures of Dillon Helbig.

As of January 29, 2022, according to the waiting list for the opportunity to read the story, 55 people were waiting.

The library created an award especially for this special occasion and presented it to the boy as “Best Young Writer”.

They are also in talks with the boy’s family to create an electronic version of the book, so more people can read it.
