Homeless woman refuses to go to shelter because they don’t allow her dogs

We refer to dogs as “men’s best companions” because of their loyalty and unwavering affection. But how can we acknowledge their tremendous loyalty? The majority of us probably won’t, but this woman most definitely will!

In a series of heartbreaking images, photographer Omar Camarillo captured an elderly woman squatting on the streets of Tijuana, Mexico, protecting herself from the rain and cold with little more than a plastic bag.

Its backstory is both horrifying and endearing. An honest demonstration of compassion and affection.

The elderly woman is given the chance to move into a shelter, but she declines because she cannot part with her true friends—six dogs.

Luz Maria Olmedo Beltran, also known as “Chole,” is a 65-year-old native who has been living on the streets for eight years. Despite the difficult living conditions she must endure, her faithful animal companions are the only things she cares about.

Before she worries about herself, she always makes sure that her dogs are fed.

When Camarillo was stunned by the moving scenes, the local police approached Chole.

She refused to enter a shelter despite the authorities’ best attempts. Unbelievably, the shelter won’t let her pets inside.

I don’t want to go, I don’t need help, I’m good here, she allegedly told the police.
