One bird covered in beautiful shades of glossy metallic green – blue and bronze makes him superb to look at too

This bird is clothed in gorgeous colors of shiny metallic green, blue, and golden in flight.

The superb starling (Lamprotornis superbus) has a glossy appearance, with blue-green upper parts and deeper blue tinges on the nape.

The top of the wing is a glossy metallic green with black dots on the tips.

The tail is short and a shiny blue-green color.

The underside of the body, including the chin, throat, and breast area, has a similar hue to the top.

The blue-green top sections are separated from the chestnut-colored belly by a slender white collar that spans the breast.

Chestnut is also found on the flanks and thighs.

So, under tail coverts and underwing coverts are also white.

The crown and ear-coverts of the skull are golden dark.

The bill is dark, and the eyes are light. Their legs and feet are completely black.

The wings and tail of juvenile birds are duller than those of adults.

As a result, It possesses the adult plumage colors, but the white breast band is less apparent.

Their eyes are quite black, and their beak is pale to yellowish.

Pinkish gray is the color of the legs and feet.

This species has a wide distribution and is prevalent in East Africa, including Ethiopia, Somalia, Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, and Tanzania.

Even in drier climates, the Superb Starling prefers open scrub and forest.
