A young man was hiking in the Utah mountains when he stumbled across what he assumed were some lovely bobcat babies.
Unfortunately, he quickly discovered that this was not the case.
Instead, he had the most horrific experience of his life.
Kyle Burgess was out on a trail run in Slate Canyon when he came across the animals.
He quickly learned, however, that these were not bobcats as he had assumed, but mountain cougars.
But it was too late, since he found himself face-to-face with their enraged mother within seconds.
What happened next was the most terrifying experience he’d ever had.
He can be seen backing away very slowly with the wild cat in front of him in a photoshoot by the man himself.
The man can be heard yelling at the animal multiple times as he walks down the trail, attempting to frighten her in this way.
But, as it turned out, it was difficult to scare a wild animal that was guarding.
After many hard minutes, the young man picks a chunk of rock and tosses it to the creature. The cougar, to his astonishment, flees.
Fortunately, the hiker amazingly escaped.
But he deserves all the credit. Since he did precisely what he needed to do in such a dangerous scenario.
