Meet Abby, a four-year-old New Yorker baby girl.
Abby has type B acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a form of leukemia that mainly affects children.
She is currently one of the patients at the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer, located in Albany, New York.
And she is determined to keep a positive attitude, despite her very serious illness.
By dint of being treated at the Melodies Center, Abby fell in love with Matt Hickling, her favorite nurse.
She was so infatuated with him, in fact, that she decided she wanted to marry him.
Earlier this week, Abby shared her intentions with her mother, and explained to her that she wanted to marry Hickling during their next medical visit.
On Wednesday, Abby’s mother then contacted Hickling, and explained her daughter’s idea to him.
Of course, Hickling was in on it, and he immediately started planning everything.
With the help of her colleagues, Hickling managed to plan a mini-wedding for the following day.
Abby wore a gorgeous dress, she had a bouquet in her hand, and Matt, he sported a tuxedo shirt of the most beautiful effect.
Hickling had thus organized a whole ceremony for the little girl, and this, as soon as she arrived.
The ceremony even included a wedding cake and, of course, candy rings.
Nurses are really great people!
