This is what the boy who conquered the Internet at 11 months looks like today

Surely, at least once, everyone has seen on the World Wide Web a picture of a baby with a satisfied expression on his face and a clenched fist.

The subject of a photograph taken back in 2007 is Sam Griner, who was then only eleven months old.

The picture appeared by accident and just as accidentally became famous and viral.

One day, the parents wanted to take a walk with their son Sam along the local beach in Florida.

There, the mother of the baby, Laney, decided to capture pleasant moments on the camera.

She decided to share it and posted it on an open photo hosting site.

And since the resource was public, many people saw the picture.

The mother of the protagonist of the photo did not try to protect copyright, so the picture quickly became viral.

Internet users took the photo as the basis for a wide variety of memes.

Sam was associated with success, so he received the unspoken status of “Successful Kid”.

Many years have passed since the publication of the photo, but the boy is still remembered.

Journalists periodically look for him and learn about the latest events in the life of the most famous successful boy.

In 2015, Sam’s fame helped save his father. Justin Griner was diagnosed with a severe kidney disease that required constant hemodialysis and organ transplantation.

But the surgical intervention required about 75 thousand US dollars, and the family simply did not have such a huge amount.

Then the wife of the sick man, Laney, remembered the old picture, published it and wrote that if everyone who used the photo-meme at least once donates one dollar, then Justin will have a chance.

In a week, 100 thousand were collected! Sam’s dad was operated on, and he still lives a normal and active life, doing what he loves – tattoos and creating sketches for them.

Today, the “Successful Child” Griner is already 15. He runs an Instagram page and demonstrates charisma, optimism, and sharpness of mind.
