Le Thu Phuong from Vietnam and CJ, a young Nigerian man, may seem like an unlikely match due to their essential differences, but fate brought them together.
CJ has a blog on YouTube in which he discusses football matches and shares links to engaging films on a wide range of subjects.
Phuong’s father showed her one of CJ’s films, praising his excellent English skills.
Though Phuong didn’t think much of it at the time, she coincidentally encountered CJ a few days later while taking a stroll with her girlfriends in a nearby park.
As soon as she saw him, she recognized him as the person she had seen on the show. Phuong found CJ endearing, appreciating his alertness, apprehension, and sense of humor.
Shortly after the birth of their child, the couple decided to formalize their relationship. Unfortunately, interracial couples sometimes have to hear criticism, but today’s youth are immune to such messages.
They are certain that a person’s character, rather than his outward look, is what ultimately matters.
Phuong takes great pride in her spouse and their newborn child, acknowledging that their child possesses the best qualities of both her and her husband.
