The market bully began stomping on and destroying an elderly woman’s produce after she refused to give him money, but he could never have imagined how this terrible act would end for him 😧
Everyone at the town market knew this man.
His name was Victor, and over the past few years, he had become a real nightmare for local vendors. Tall, arrogant, and convinced that he could get away with anything, he showed up at the market every week and collected money from the sellers. He called it his “share,” although everyone knew perfectly well that it was nothing more than extortion.
People were afraid to argue with him. Some handed over money in silence, while others tried to protest but quickly fell quiet. Everyone knew that crossing Victor could lead to serious consequences. Some vendors mysteriously lost their goods, others had their shop windows smashed, and some businesses even collapsed after his visits.
That was why most people preferred to pay.
That day, the market was bustling as usual. People walked between the stalls, choosing fruits and vegetables, vendors called out to customers, and the familiar hum of voices filled the air.
Among the sellers was an elderly woman named Margaret.
She lived completely alone on the outskirts of town. Every morning, she woke up before dawn, worked in her small garden, harvested vegetables, and brought them to the market. It was her only source of income.
Lately, things had been difficult. There were fewer customers, while prices kept rising.
That day had been especially bad. By noon, she had sold almost nothing.
Maria was sitting behind her stall, anxiously counting a few small coins when she noticed a familiar figure.
Victor was walking through the market.
As always, he stopped at each stall and held out his hand.
A few minutes later, he reached her.
“Well, Grandma, hand over my share,” he sneered.
Margaret let out a heavy sigh.
“Victor, I haven’t earned anything today. There have hardly been any customers since this morning.”
The young man frowned.
“That doesn’t interest me at all.”
“But I truly don’t have any money.”
“Then borrow some from someone.”
The old woman looked at him sadly.
“But you’ve already taken money from everyone else. Who am I supposed to borrow from?”
Victor clenched his fists angrily.
“I don’t care about your problems. Either you pay now, or you’ll regret it.”
Tears appeared in the woman’s eyes.
“I can’t give you something I don’t have.”
For several seconds, he stared at her in silence.
Then his face twisted with anger.
“So you’ve decided to play games with me?”
He suddenly grabbed a crate of tomatoes and flipped it over.
Bright red tomatoes spilled onto the ground.
Margaret cried out and rushed forward.
“No! Please, don’t!”
But Victor had already grabbed another crate.
Cucumbers scattered across the pavement.
Then another crate. And another. Within a minute, most of her produce was lying on the ground.
People nearby began to stop and watch. Some filmed the scene with their phones, others shook their heads, but no one dared to intervene.
Victor seemed to be enjoying himself more and more. He began stomping on the vegetables. Tomatoes burst beneath his boots while pieces of cucumbers and greens flew in every direction.
Margaret stood nearby, crying. Tears streamed down her wrinkled cheeks. Every time the young man stepped on another crate, it felt as though she lost another piece of hope.
She thought about how much effort it had taken to grow that harvest. And now it was being turned into mush right before her eyes.
“Please stop,” she repeated softly.
But Victor only smirked.
“Next time, you’ll pay right away.”
He stomped on the scattered tomatoes again.
“Remember this lesson.”
The old woman could no longer hold back her tears. It seemed to her that, along with the vegetables, the young man was crushing the last remnants of her dignity. But at that very moment, something happened that would make the arrogant bully bitterly regret what he had done 😱 You can find the continuation of the story in the first comment ⬇️
At that moment, a car pulled up near the market.
A tall young man in a military uniform stepped out.
It was Alex, Margaret’s son.
For the past several months, he had been serving far from home and had only recently been granted leave. He wanted to surprise his mother and came straight to the market.
But the moment he saw the destroyed stall, the vegetables scattered everywhere, and his mother crying, the smile vanished from his face.
Alex quickly walked over.
“Mom, what happened here?”
Margaret looked up at him through tear-filled eyes.
She couldn’t even answer right away.
Instead, she simply pointed a trembling hand toward Victor.
The young man turned and saw the soldier.
For a moment, all his confidence disappeared.
“And who are you supposed to be?” he asked with a forced grin.
Alex calmly looked at the ruined produce.
Then at his mother.
Then back at Victor.
“The person who’s going to make you answer for all of this.”
A crowd immediately gathered around them.
People began telling Alex what had happened.
One by one, the vendors confirmed each other’s stories.
It turned out that Victor had been terrorizing the entire market for years.
This time, there were far too many witnesses.
Someone had already called the police.
Others handed over phone recordings clearly showing him destroying the stall and ruining the produce.
Victor realized that, for the first time in his life, he was in a situation he couldn’t simply walk away from.
A few minutes later, police officers arrived at the market.
The crowd stepped aside.
The evidence that had been collected was more than enough.
