Hannah, a mother of three from Merseyside, England, purchased a stunning Victorian mansion in 2013. At the time, her family was disheartened to see the house in such a sad state.

The former glory of this residence had faded: there were cracks, and it appeared very run-down from the outside, which almost discouraged anyone from entering.

Although the 41-year-old was excited about the renovation, she was aware that the project would require a lot of effort and financial resources, which led her to temporarily put it on hold.

In 2019, Hannah decided to seriously tackle the renovations. The condition of the villa was so poor that it would have been easier to tear it down, but she chose to restore it.

The work included replacing all the plumbing, laying new flooring, changing the windows, and even renovating some walls. The renovation team spent over six months restoring the brick facade.

Hannah had to work hard while carefully considering the design of the house.

“Honestly, it was the ugliest house on the street. I wanted to create a bright and open space. I loved the original look of the house and tried to preserve its character and distinctive features,” Hannah stated.

Thanks to her renovation efforts, she transformed her home into a true gem. The value of the villa increased by $216,000, but as a mother, Hannah has no intention of selling it.
