In total, Ithan stated that he spent about 60,000 Australian dollars (around 39,000 US dollars) to look the way he does today.
However, he has now expressed regrets about his past choices.
Ithan added that he worries about the judgment he might face when performing everyday tasks, like taking his little daughter to school.
In an attempt to improve his image, Ithan is undergoing painful laser treatments to remove some of the tattoos he got in his youth.
“I started doing this because of anxiety and other issues I had… Psychological problems are a strange and hard-to-understand thing, but I want to think that most of my anxiety was related to the fact that I had a face full of tattoos.”
