A tragedy struck the NFL with the premature death of superstar Khyree Jackson, who passed away in a car accident this weekend.
At 24 years old, Jackson, a talented cornerback, lost his life in an accident that occurred early Saturday morning. According to authorities, a car speeding at high speed killed Jackson and two of his friends.
The driver, Hazel, who was a former high school teammate of Jackson, also died at the scene. Another passenger, Anthony Lytton Jr., was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
A few hours before the tragedy, Jackson had posted a carousel of photos on Instagram showcasing his life, including one of him training with the Minnesota Vikings, the team he was recently selected by in the NFL draft.
Jackson, who shared joyful moments from his life, such as photos with a gecko, on the beach with parrots, and selfies showing off his stylish outfits, left behind a trail of enthusiasm.
First graduating from Dr. Henry Wise Jr. High School, Jackson then attended Fort Scott Community College before playing for the Oregon Ducks and Alabama Crimson Tide. In 2023, he was recognized as the best cornerback for the Ducks.
After impressing, he was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2024 NFL draft.
