š² š² This chair had been in my grandmother’s house for many years š². It was in a terrible condition, but I couldn’t bring myself to throw it away š¢. So, we decided to give it a new life by renovating it ourselves, and here’s the result of our work šš Feel free to share your thoughts on our transformation. šš
We were determined to give it a second chance, modernize it, and freshen it up a bit. My grandmother hadn’t used it in ages, but it seemed impossible to part with it. A few days of work and it was done.
First, I went to the store to buy fabric for the furniture. After much deliberation, I chose Flokati, a durable and soft material, perfect for refreshing the chair.
Next, we tackled the armrests. Their paint had worn off, and they looked quite worn out, so I decided to repaint them.
I chose a natural wood color to preserve the vintage look of the chair while giving it a fresh touch.
All that was left was to reassemble the structure: stretch the new fabric, secure it tightly, and reattach the armrests. The process was a bit more complicated than expected, but the outcome was worth it.
And here is the result: the chair, now renovated, has become the centerpiece of the room. It has preserved all the warmth of memories while fitting perfectly into our modern decor.
