Living in Itiruçu, Brazil, Dona Joana is surrounded by a large family: five children, nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. Her great-granddaughter, Jacqueline Stéphanie, came up with the Barbie theme, knowing that her grandmother loves celebrating her birthday and the color pink. “She doesn’t wait to die; she wants to live and celebrate,” Jacqueline said.
The party took place after Mother’s Day, as Dona Joana wished. Jacqueline took charge of the decorations, creating a Barbie atmosphere with balloons and a large cardboard box. When Dona Joana discovered the preparations, she was moved and delighted, especially by the giant box, which became a hit for photos.
The celebration brought together 35 guests, exceeding all expectations. “My birthday was beautiful; I looked like a real Barbie doll!” she said with a laugh. She is already looking forward to the next party, promising to make it even bigger if she is still around next year.
