Shelby Ann Carter, a young woman from Wyoming, Illinois, had welcomed an adorable baby girl in January 2017.
With her partner, they were not allowing themselves to be more affected by the arrival of this newborn into their lives. Their happiness seemed complete. However, life sometimes holds unexpected surprises, and this captivated family was struck by an insurmountable tragedy.
On January 30, Shelby and her baby were at Shelby’s mother’s house, where they were staying, when a sudden fire broke out in the home. The flames spread so quickly that the house was rapidly filled with thick smoke, making any escape impossible.
The firefighters arrived as quickly as possible and did everything they could to control the blaze. Unfortunately, they arrived too late to save Shelby, who died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
