Right after the wedding, the guests heard screams coming from the newlyweds’ room and rushed inside in horror: the groom raised his hand to strike the bride, but his mother’s actions left everyone speechless 😨
The girl’s parents had been against the wedding from the very beginning.
They did not like the way the groom spoke to their daughter. In front of adults, he was polite, smiling, and attentive, but as soon as they were alone, his face changed. He could grab the bride’s arm roughly, get angry over an ordinary question, and then convince her that she had misunderstood everything.
The girl’s mother said more than once:
— When you are with him, it feels as if you are always afraid of doing something wrong.
But the bride would only lower her eyes and answer that she loved him. She believed that everything would be different after the wedding. It seemed to her that he was simply nervous because of the preparations, the money, and the many relatives.
On the wedding day, she was very beautiful and happy. A white dress, a veil, flowers in her hair — from the outside, it looked like an ordinary celebration of two people in love.
But the troubling moments began during the reception.
The groom drank for almost the entire evening. At first, he only raised a glass with the guests, but then he began pouring himself strong alcohol without stopping. He made loud jokes, interrupted the host, and became irritated whenever the bride asked him to calm down, even a little.
The girl’s father noticed this and quietly told him it was time to stop. The groom immediately flared up.
— Don’t tell me how to behave at my own wedding, he replied sharply.
The men nearly started fighting. The guests managed to stand between them, while the bride, in tears, begged everyone to calm down. The groom then smirked, put his arm around her shoulders, and said in front of everyone that he was simply too nervous.
No one wanted to ruin the celebration, so they tried to forget the conflict.
Later, the newlyweds went upstairs to the room prepared for them in a relative’s house. The guests stayed downstairs, continued talking, finished the cake, and discussed the wedding.
About half an hour passed.
At first, a dull thud was heard from upstairs, as if something had fallen to the floor. Then an angry male voice rang out. It was hard to make out the words, but everyone heard the groom yelling at the bride.
— Did you decide to humiliate me on purpose? Did you want to make me look weak in front of everyone?
The girl could be heard crying behind the door. A few seconds later, she screamed so loudly that silence immediately fell downstairs.
The bride’s mother was the first to rush toward the stairs. Her father, the guests, and the groom’s mother ran after her.
The door was unlocked. The people rushed inside and froze.
The bride was sitting on the floor beside the bed, covering her face with her hands. A broken phone lay next to her. The groom stood over her without his jacket, wearing a wrinkled shirt and with his hand raised. He was drunk and furious, and the girl was crying so hard that she could not even look at her parents.
It turned out that before the wedding, she had secretly sent her father a short message: “I’m scared, please come get me.” The groom had seen it when he took her phone and decided that she wanted to run away right after the wedding. He began demanding that she admit in front of him that her parents had “turned her against her husband.”

Everyone thought she would defend her son. Even the groom turned to her confidently, as if he expected her support.
But the mother slowly walked to the wardrobe, opened a drawer, and took out a small folder. Then she threw it directly onto the bed.
Inside were photographs, printed messages, and a medical report. Several months earlier, the groom had already beaten his former girlfriend. His mother had found out about it then but had not told anyone. She helped her son pay the girl money so that she would not go to the police, hoping everything would stay in the past.
The mother looked at her son and said in a trembling voice:
— I already saved you from the consequences once. But I will not do it again.
Then she turned to the bride’s father and handed him the phone herself.
— Call the police. I will testify. I will not let him destroy another life.
The groom went pale. He tried to justify himself, saying that he had done nothing and that everyone was exaggerating. But his mother did not say another word.
The bride’s parents took her home. That same night, she took off her ring and left it on the table.
Later, she told her mother that what shocked her most was not that the groom had raised his hand against her. She had felt for a long time that it might happen one day.
