When Sofia met Daniel, he seemed like a simple, kind, and honest man. He was not born into a wealthy family, had not studied at prestigious universities, and had spent his whole life getting everything through his own hard work. At first, that was exactly what Sofia liked about him.

Sofia owned several successful restaurants, which she had not acquired easily. After her fatherâs death, she did not sell his business but spent many years developing it herself: she looked for new chefs, checked the products, spoke with suppliers, and opened new establishments. She had money, connections, and the respect of her employees, but she had never looked down on her husband.

But he did not know one important detail.

The employee had only been trapped inside for a few minutes, but he had been terribly frightened. After that, Sofia had ordered a special emergency mechanism to be installed immediately, so that anyone could open the door from the inside.
She had insisted on it herself because she did not want anyone to get hurt.
