Her mother had warned her many times that the owner of the house must not be disturbed, that she must not enter his office, and that, in general, it was better to avoid getting in his way.

That day, she had no one to leave her daughter with, so she asked for permission to bring little Lily with her.
For almost the entire evening, the girl sat quietly in a small staff room, drawing and playing with her toy.
Her mother came in several times and asked her not to go anywhere. Lily promised. But later, she became thirsty.
The girl stepped out into the hallway and went to look for her mother. The house was enormous, so after a few minutes she realized she had turned the wrong way.
