His glossy purple-black plumage is perfectly accentuated by spectacular splashes of yellow and white

One of the biggest members of their species and one of the most visually appealing are these yellow-faced birds.

With a brilliant yellow bib and bright yellow eyes!

The yellow-faced myna (Mino dumontii) is a species of Sturnidae starling.

This bird is the biggest species of starling, measuring between 9 and 10 inches in length.

On the forehead and upper mandible, there are short black feathers with a glossy purplish-blue color.

The majority of the skull, however, is covered with exposed yellowish-orange skin.

This skin creates a broad patch around each eye, as well as a bib on the chin and on each side of the throat.

Their necks, central throat, and mantle are purple-glossed black, while their backs, wings, breast, and belly are green-glossed black.

Rumps are white, with a golden-yellow lower belly and white under tail coverts.

Their short tails are black, and their irises are yellow.

They may, however, be brown in some sections of New Guinea.

Bill and his legs are yellow.

The Yellow-faced myna is native to Papua, New Guinea and may be found on the country’s mainland as well as several of its outlying islands.

It is found across much of its range at heights of up to 2,600 feet, however it is not found on mainland New Guinea’s southern coast.
