Tired of unpleasant odors in your bathroom? I found a great solution to get rid of this problem once and for all.
Let’s be honest – there’s nothing more awkward than when guests ask to use the bathroom and are hit by a strong smell that no air freshener can hide.
I’m sharing a super simple recipe with you to eliminate bad smells 💖 I’ve listed the ingredients and instructions in the first comment 👇👇
Today, I want to share a simple yet incredibly effective method that will permanently remove unpleasant odors from your bathroom.
Homemade Air Freshener with Cloves
Here’s my go-to recipe, which I always keep behind the toilet now. You’ll need:
-
10 whole cloves,
-
4 tablespoons of baking soda,
-
a little olive or soybean oil,
-
a glass jar with a lid.
It’s very easy: pour the baking soda into the jar, add the oil in equal proportion, and drop in the cloves. Poke a few small holes in the lid and place the jar behind the toilet.
The mixture starts working immediately — it neutralizes bad odors, freshens the air, and leaves a pleasant spicy scent.
Bonus tip: in the evening, you can throw a few cloves directly into the toilet bowl to soak overnight.
Odor Killers: Vinegar, Lemon, and Baking Soda
If you want to completely disinfect the bathroom and remove yellow stains from inside the toilet, here’s another tried-and-true mixture:
-
½ cup white vinegar,
-
juice of one lemon,
-
½ cup baking soda.
Mix the vinegar with lemon juice, apply the mixture to the stained areas, and let it sit for 2–3 minutes. Then sprinkle baking soda on top and wait another 5 minutes.
After that, scrub with a sponge or cloth and rinse. This mixture works not only for the toilet, but also for the sink, shower, and tiles.
