When we bought our new house, we brought all our furniture with us. However, over time, it became clear that some items were quite outdated and no longer fit the new interior.
Many things had to be thrown away without regret, but some, despite their age, retained their strength and deserved a second chance.
One of these items was the small nightstand, which had stood by the bed for many years. The frame was sturdy, but its appearance revealed its age.
Instead of parting with it, we decided to give it new life by renovating it and making a few changes.
During the restoration, we kept the original legs, which gave the nightstand stability and elegance.
We left part of the frame in its natural brown color, only updating the surface with wax to highlight the texture of the wood.
The doors were repainted in a trendy beige shade, which harmoniously fit into the modern interior.
We also selected the hardware with special care: instead of the old handles, we installed two semi-circular wooden handles in a rich brown color.
This combination of dark and light tones created a pleasant soft contrast and gave the nightstand a stylish and sophisticated look.
In the end, the nightstand turned into a refined and functional piece of interior decor, preserving its history but playing with new colors.
