A couple, often criticized online for their significant age difference, has joyfully announced that they are expecting their first child. Cheryl McCain, 63, and her husband Quran McCain, 26, have attracted attention due to their unconventional relationship.
They first met when Quran was 15 and they both worked at a Dairy Queen, but their love story began years later when they reconnected at a gas station when Quran was 23.
They started dating in April 2021 and married in September of the same year, subsequently sharing their story on joint social media accounts.
Despite their happiness, Cheryl’s children have strongly disapproved of the marriage. “I have seven children, but only one supports us. It hurts me a lot,” Cheryl lamented, revealing that of her 18 grandchildren, she only sees three.
Despite these challenges, they are now preparing to expand their family.
Recently, Cheryl and Quran announced that they have found a surrogate mother and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby.
Cheryl shared the news on TikTok with ultrasound images, defiantly responding to critics with the caption: “You’re too old to start a family.” She added: “I made my decision.” The announcement received both congratulations and criticism.
Quran expressed his joy, saying: “I cried tears of joy when I found out. This will be my first child, and I’ve never felt such love before, except when I married Cheryl. Whether it’s a girl or a boy doesn’t matter. I’m going to be a parent, and we’re starting our life together. Blood relation doesn’t make a family; Cheryl will be the best mom.”
The announcement, with a 37-year age gap between Cheryl and Quran, has sparked mixed reactions, with some questioning its feasibility. “How is this even possible?” commented one person. Only time will tell if the birth of their child will help mend family bonds.
