Houseboats are becoming increasingly popular in Great Britain, especially for river cruises that can last for weeks, instead of going on traditional vacations. This young man, who had dreamed of owning such a boat for a long time, didn’t have the financial means to buy one. So, he decided to make his dream come true on his own.
At first, no one believed in him, and many laughed when he shared his project. But he didn’t give up and bought an old barge for a bargain price to start his adventure. He meticulously planned the layout of each space necessary to make it a comfortable home.
Today, the boat has two bedrooms, one for his mother and the other for his sister. He even set up a kitchen and a bathroom. All the furniture was made by his own hands, a true labor of passion.
Upstairs, there’s a small cozy living room, and the boat now looks like a brand new home, far from the wreck it once was. For those who saw the finished work, it’s hard to believe this houseboat was just a simple idea from a young man with a limited budget.
Although some suggested he sell the boat for a nice profit, he refused and now prefers to enjoy this unique living space surrounded by his family.
