If you are driving at night and see an abandoned stroller on the side of the road, do not get out of your car

The world can be a scary and unpredictable place, full of dangers and problems for those who are not vigilant. It’s a sad truth that this remains the case in our time, but I suspect that some problems will always exist; it’s an unfortunate and regrettable aspect of human nature.

Over the years, we’ve tried to provide our readers with wisdom and knowledge whenever we find it, especially the natural signs and signals to pay attention to and what certain things might mean—like an apparently harmless water bottle placed on your tire.

That’s why we believe it’s our duty to at least make people aware of a potential technique used by criminals to lure unsuspecting drivers out of their cars late at night.

You may have heard of the “abandoned baby” method, but we hadn’t heard of it until we came across a viral post from a mom who wanted to warn as many people as possible.

In short, the woman was desperately trying to make the public aware of the potential dangers of stopping to investigate what looks like an abandoned stroller on the side of the road.

Imagine the scene: you’re driving on a dark road when you see a stroller on the side of the road. For most people, instinct kicks in at that moment, and you might find yourself slowing down to take a closer look.

In some cases, the driver might even get out to make sure everything is okay. And that’s where reports indicate that criminals hiding nearby are looking for their opportunity.

“Yes, people care,” commented one Facebook user. “In the best-case scenario, they rob you; in the worst-case scenario, they run you over.” Another added, “I would just call the police to check it out. It may seem harsh, but it’s not worth worrying about.”

This type of scam, which involves taking advantage of people’s good hearts, unfortunately, has existed for much of human history and seems to be an effective way to get victims into situations they would otherwise be wary of.
