In a small clearing, several strong men had surrounded an elderly man. They had already knocked him to the ground, his clothes were dirty, his face bruised. One of them lazily kicked him with his boot.
— Well, old man, let’s do this the easy way, — said the tall one with a scar on his cheek. — Where’s the money?
— I have nothing… — the old man barely managed to say, covering his head with his hands.

They laughed, exchanged glances, as if it were a game. The blows continued.

Out of the light mist stepped a woman in a military uniform. Calm walk, steady gaze, not a trace of fear in her eyes. She approached as if nothing unusual was happening.
The bandits froze for a second, then smirked.
— Well, look who showed up, — one of them said. — And all alone.
— Pretty girl, looks like you got lost, — another added, slowly circling her. — Maybe we can help you?
— It’s dangerous out here, — the third one grinned. — But we can protect you… in our own way.
They started laughing, throwing dirty hints and exchanging looks.
The woman didn’t respond. She simply knelt beside the old man and carefully checked his pulse.
— Hold on, everything will be fine, — she said quietly.
— Are you ignoring us? — one of the bandits snapped and grabbed her arm.
She slowly raised her eyes.
— Take your hand off, — she said calmly.
— You’ve got some attitude too, — the leader smirked and pulled her sharply toward himself. — We’ll teach you… Guys, come closer, don’t be shy.

At that same moment, the woman sharply twisted his arm. A crack was heard, and he bent over in pain. Right after that — a quick knee strike, and he collapsed into the grass.
— You… — the second one shouted, rushing at her.
She moved fast, without unnecessary motions. One step aside, a grab — and he was already on the ground. The third received a precise elbow strike and was thrown back.

— Special forces captain, — she replied briefly.
Silence once again covered the forest.
A few minutes later, the sound of vehicles was heard. Her colleagues ran into the clearing. The bandits were quickly subdued and taken away.
The old man was carefully lifted and placed into a vehicle.
Before the door closed, he firmly took her hand.
— Thank you… — he said quietly. — I thought it was all over…
She only gave a slight nod.
— Everything will be fine.
She turned and calmly walked back to her team. For her, it was nothing special. It was just her job.
