Sheikh Rashid owned so many properties that even the people closest to him sometimes didn’t know where he would spend the next night.
One house was near the city center, another was not far from his office, and yet another stood by the sea. But the quietest one was a large mansion on the outskirts of the city.
Rashid visited that one less often than the others.
Sometimes he would stay away for several weeks, but the staff were never allowed to relax. Every house had to be ready for the owner’s arrival at any moment.
In the bedroom, the towels were changed every day, the dust was wiped away, the water was checked, the room was aired out, and the bed was made with fresh sheets.
That day, a young maid arrived at work already exhausted.
The night before, she had barely slept. In the morning, she had spent several hours helping in the kitchen, then cleaned the ground floor, and in the evening she was ordered to prepare the master’s bedroom.
By the time she finished, it was already late.
She sat down on the edge of the enormous bed for just one minute. The room was quiet, the air conditioner was barely audible, and the soft bed looked incredibly comfortable.
“He won’t come here today anyway,” the maid thought.
She decided to lie down for literally five minutes. But the moment her head touched the pillow, she fell asleep instantly.
At around three in the morning, a car unexpectedly stopped outside the house.

He asked them to show him the servants’ schedules for the past month.
