The little girl with the birthmark on her face had her last operation: the result amazed everyone

The mother of a girl from the USA who has a birthmark on her face recently shared an update about her daughter’s condition. Luna, the girl with the birthmark, has undergone her final operation.

Luna’s birthmark, called a melanocytic nevus, covers a large area of her face. While it doesn’t cause pain, there is a risk of it developing into cancer under certain circumstances.

After a thorough examination, doctors in Boston determined that Luna would need over 100 laser therapy sessions and at least four years of treatment.

Fortunately, a surgeon named Pavel Popov in Krasnodar, Russia, offered to help remove Luna’s birthmark. In September 2019, Luna and her mother, Carol Fenner, traveled to Krasnodar for the first time.

They returned in September 2020, when Luna had the birthmark removed from her left cheek. Finally, on October 9, Carol shared on her Instagram that Luna had undergone her last operation.

According to Carol, Luna is feeling well, remains active, has no complaints of pain, and has a good appetite.

Currently, Luna has a bandage on her face, which affects her vision. However, her mother assures her that this was the final operation for Luna.

The news brings hope and relief to Luna’s family as they move forward with her recovery, grateful for the medical assistance and progress made in addressing her birthmark.
