Leila had been married to Sheikh Karim for seven years. From the outside, their family seemed perfect. They lived in a huge house, traveled a lot, and almost never argued.
But a few months earlier, Leila had noticed something strange about her husband’s behavior.
Every Friday, at approximately the same time, Karim left the house and returned only three hours later. Normally, his security guards accompanied him everywhere, but on these trips, he took only his personal driver with him.
Before leaving, he always turned off his phone.
At first, Leila didn’t pay much attention to it, but soon these mysterious disappearances began to worry her.
“Where are you going again?” she asked him one day.
“I have an important meeting.”
“Then I’ll come with you. I have nothing else to do anyway.”
Karim’s expression immediately changed.
“No, Leila. It’s a business meeting. There’s no reason for you to be there.”
The woman didn’t argue, but that conversation was what first made her think that her husband was hiding something from her.
The following Friday, the same thing happened again. Karim left at two in the afternoon and returned exactly three hours later.
Then Leila decided to speak to his driver, Amir. She took the man aside and offered him a large sum of money.
“Just tell me where you go on Fridays.”
Amir immediately refused.
“I’m sorry, ma’am, but I can’t tell you that.”
“I’m your employer.”
“I know, but Mr. Karim ordered me not to tell anyone about these trips.”
Now Leila was almost certain that something bad was going on.
For the next two weeks, she tried to discover the truth herself, but without success. Then, unexpectedly, she got lucky.
On Friday morning, Amir called and said that he was sick and wouldn’t be able to come to work.
Karim ordered them to find another driver. When Leila heard this, she came up with a crazy plan.
She found a man’s chauffeur suit, hid her hair under a cap, put on a fake mustache, and slightly changed her makeup. Then she put on dark sunglasses and went out into the courtyard.
A few minutes later, Karim came out of the house. Leila opened the rear door of the car for him and tried not to look her husband directly in the eyes.
Karim calmly walked past her and sat in the back seat. He didn’t recognize his own wife.
Leila closed the door, got behind the wheel, and started the car. Her heart was beating so loudly that she felt as if her husband could hear it even from the back seat.
“Drive to our usual address,” Karim said.
Leila froze. She had absolutely no idea where she was supposed to go.

“What are you waiting for?” Karim asked in surprise.
“I’m sorry, sir… I wasn’t given the exact address.”
Karim looked at the new driver through the rearview mirror.
“Didn’t Amir explain anything to you?”
“No. He only told me that I was supposed to replace him today.”
The man sighed irritably and then gave her the address. Leila entered it into the navigation system and drove off.

The farther they drove, the more surprised Leila became. It wasn’t an expensive restaurant or a hotel, as she had expected. They left the wealthy neighborhood and arrived in a quiet part of the city filled with ordinary small houses.
Finally, the navigation system announced that they had arrived.
“Stop here,” Karim ordered.
Leila parked across from a small house. Karim got out of the car and headed toward the gate. At that moment, the door of the house suddenly opened.
A boy of about six years old ran outside.
When the child saw Karim, he happily rushed toward him.
“Dad!”
Leila felt her hands turn ice-cold. Karim crouched down and hugged the boy tightly. A few seconds later, an elderly woman came out of the house.
But Leila only now noticed the most shocking thing.
The boy looked incredibly similar to Karim. He had the same dark eyes, the same hair, and even the same facial expression.
Leila sat behind the wheel, unable to move.
For all those months, she had suspected that her husband had a mistress, but the truth turned out to be much worse. Her husband had a child. A few minutes later, Karim went into the house with the boy.
Leila got out of the car and cautiously approached the window.
Inside the room, the boy was showing Karim his school drawings while the elderly woman set the table. There was no young woman anywhere nearby.
Then Leila heard the words that finally made her understand what was happening.
“He asks every day when his dad is coming back,” the elderly woman said.
Karim sighed heavily.
“I can’t come more often. Leila doesn’t know anything about him.”
The woman looked at the boy.
“But how much longer are you going to hide your own son from your wife?”
Leila’s legs began to tremble. For seven years, she had been certain that she knew the man she lived with. But all this time, Karim had a son who lived with his grandmother, and every Friday her husband secretly visited him for a few hours.
