I started to suspect that my husband was putting sleeping pills in the dinner he prepared for our son and me, so one evening I pretended to eat everything he had cooked and then fell asleep right at the table, just like our son. But when my husband made sure that we were both unconscious, he did something that truly terrified me 😨
Lately, something strange had started happening to me. I could barely remember our family dinners.
I clearly remembered the three of us sitting down at the table, my husband bringing the food, and us starting to eat and talk. But after that, everything seemed to disappear from my memory.
In the morning, I would wake up already in my bed with absolutely no idea how I had gotten there.
At first, I thought I was simply exhausted. But when it happened several times, I started to feel uneasy.
One morning, I told my husband about it.
“Oh, stop imagining things,” he said with a smirk. “You talked so much last night that you gave me a headache. You were probably just tired and didn’t even notice when you fell asleep.”
But that was exactly what frightened me. I had absolutely no memory of talking to him for a long time.
That same day, after my husband left for work, I decided to talk to our 15-year-old son.
“Do you remember last night’s dinner?” I asked.
My son went silent at first, then looked at me very strangely.
“Mom, the same thing is happening to me. I’ve woken up several times in the morning without remembering how I got to my room. I was afraid to tell you.”
Those words sent a chill through my entire body.
If it had only been happening to me, I might still have believed it was exhaustion. But why couldn’t a perfectly healthy teenager remember anything either?
And most importantly, why did nothing like this ever happen to my husband?
That was when a terrifying thought occurred to me for the first time: maybe he was the one behind all of this.
The next evening, my husband prepared dinner again. He had been cooking often lately and always insisted that our son and I finish everything on our plates.
I decided to test my suspicion.
Whenever my husband turned away, I secretly put food into a napkin and hid it in the pocket of my robe. Sometimes I pretended to chew and then spat the food out when he wasn’t looking.
My son knew nothing about my plan.
About twenty minutes later, his movements started to slow down.
“Mom, I’m suddenly really sleepy,” he mumbled.
A few minutes later, my son rested his head on the table and fell asleep. I felt genuine fear, but I closed my eyes too and lowered my head onto the table, trying to breathe calmly.
My husband remained seated in his chair. A minute later, I heard him stand up.
He went to our son first, quietly called his name, and gently shook him by the shoulder. Our son didn’t react. Then my husband came over to me.
“Are you asleep?” he asked quietly.
I didn’t move. He stood beside me for several seconds and then waved his hand in front of my face.
I could barely keep myself from trembling.
Finally, he walked away.
I heard my husband take out his phone and call someone.
“Everything’s fine. They’re already asleep. You can come over.”
My stomach tightened. I couldn’t even imagine what terrible secret I was about to discover about my husband that evening. 🤯😨 The rest of the story can be found in the first comment 👇👇
Twenty minutes later, the doorbell rang. My husband quickly opened the door, and I heard a woman’s voice.
“I was starting to think you weren’t going to call me today.”
The woman walked into our house so casually that it seemed as though she had been there many times before. I cautiously opened my eyes just a little.
Standing in front of me was a young woman I had never seen before.
But even that wasn’t the worst part.
My husband hugged her and kissed her.
Just a few feet away from me and our sleeping son.
“What if she wakes up one day?” the woman asked.
My husband laughed.
“She won’t wake up. I already know exactly how much to add.”
At that moment, I finally understood everything. All those evenings, he had deliberately given us something to make us sleep deeply.
My husband carried our son to his room and then came back for me. I continued pretending to be asleep while he carried me into the bedroom and laid me on the bed.
A few minutes later, I heard music coming from the living room.
I quietly got up and started recording on my phone.
Through the door, I could hear them laughing, talking, and drinking wine. Then I carefully peeked into the hallway and saw them together on our couch.
It turned out this wasn’t the first time.
While our son and I lay unconscious, my husband would bring his mistress into our home. They ate our food, drank wine, played music, and spent time together without the slightest fear that we might see anything.
I didn’t confront them.
I needed evidence.
I recorded their conversation and filmed what was happening several times on my phone. The next morning, I pretended once again that I couldn’t remember anything.
My husband behaved as usual.
“Did you sleep well?” he asked with a smile.
I looked him in the eyes and replied:
“Very well.”
He had no idea that I hadn’t slept for a single minute that night.
That same day, I took my son and left the house. I also kept the food my husband had prepared that evening so I could have it tested.
And by the time my husband realized what had happened, it was already too late.
