Every Saturday, a new bouquet appeared on my wife’s grave, but none of our relatives had left it there. So I hid a small camera near the grave to finally find out who was leaving the flowers, and when I watched the footage, I was completely shocked 😨
My wife’s name was Laura. She died almost two years ago after a serious illness.
We had lived together for seven years. During that time, we had arguments, difficult days, and money problems, but I never doubted that Laura was the closest person to me in my life.
After her death, it took me a long time to get used to the empty house. During the first few months, I would walk into our bedroom almost every evening and, for a moment, forget that she was no longer there.
Over time, things became a little easier. I went back to work, started seeing my friends again, and learned to sleep normally again. But every Saturday, I continued going to the cemetery.
That was where I first noticed the strange flowers.
That morning, a small bouquet of white lilies was lying beside the headstone.
I assumed Laura’s sister had visited and even sent her a message to thank her. But she replied that she hadn’t been to the cemetery for several weeks.
Then I thought about my wife’s friends.
However, a week later, another bouquet appeared beside the grave. This time, they were red roses.
Another week later, someone left daisies. I started asking everyone who might have visited her. No one knew anything.
But the bouquets continued to appear every Saturday. And always early in the morning, before I arrived.
One day, I deliberately arrived at seven in the morning, but the flowers were already lying beside the headstone. The following Saturday, I arrived even earlier, but once again, I was too late.
It was as if someone knew exactly when I would be there.
After that, I began to feel not only curious but also uneasy.
There were now far too many questions running through my mind.
One evening, I bought a small camera. Late at night, I drove to the cemetery and hid it among the thick bushes opposite the grave.
I felt a little ashamed of what I was doing, but the uncertainty had been tormenting me for months.
The following week passed painfully slowly. On Saturday, I deliberately didn’t go to the cemetery. I stayed home, waited until evening, and then opened the footage from the camera.
For several hours, nothing happened.
People walked along the path, an elderly woman stopped beside a neighboring grave, and a cemetery worker cleared away dry leaves.
Then the time appeared on the screen — 7:43. A dark car stopped near the grave. And when I saw who stepped out of the car and approached my late wife’s grave, I was absolutely horrified 🫣😨

A man of about fifty-five stepped out of the car. He was wearing a gray coat and holding a bouquet of white peonies.
The man approached the headstone and placed the flowers down. But he didn’t leave.
He knelt beside the grave and stayed there for almost twenty minutes. From time to time, he said something, but the camera was too far away, so I couldn’t make out his words.
Before leaving, the man touched Anna’s photograph with his hand and lowered his head. From the look on his face, it was obvious that he felt terrible.
I watched the footage several times. His face seemed familiar.
It wasn’t until late that evening that I remembered where I had seen him before. It was Dr. Mark Wilson. He was the doctor who had treated Anna in the hospital before her death.
The following Saturday, I arrived at the cemetery before dawn and hid in my car nearby.
At around nine in the morning, the same dark car appeared. The doctor got out carrying flowers.
I waited until he approached the grave, then followed him.
When he saw me, the man suddenly turned pale.
— Do you remember me? — I asked.
He didn’t answer.
— Why do you bring flowers to my wife every week?
The doctor looked at Anna’s grave and quietly said:
— I hoped I would never have to explain this to you.
At those words, everything inside me tightened. I demanded that he tell me the truth.
It turned out that after Anna’s first admission to the hospital, the results of one of her tests had revealed a dangerous complication. Additional tests needed to be carried out immediately, and her treatment had to be changed.
But the doctor had misinterpreted the results. He decided that the readings did not pose a serious threat and allowed Anna to return home.
When she was brought back to the hospital a week later, it was already too late.
After Anna’s death, the hospital conducted an internal investigation. Her official cause of death was listed as a complication of her illness, while our family was never told about the doctor’s mistake.
The doctor admitted that he had been the one who insisted that I not be told all the details.
He was afraid of losing his job, his medical license, and destroying his life. But after what happened, he could no longer live in peace either.
He constantly thought about Anna.
From her medical records and the conversations they had during her treatment, he remembered that she loved white peonies. So several months after her death, he went to the cemetery for the first time and brought her some. Then he came back again. Over time, it became a habit.
