The body of a young bride wearing a hijab was found during her wedding, and late at night she was taken to the morgue. But when the nurse was left alone with the deceased and finally removed the veil from her face, she froze in horror at what she saw 😳
Leila and Adam’s wedding was supposed to be one of the happiest days of their lives. Their families had been preparing for months, renting a large venue outside the city and inviting more than a hundred guests. Expensive cars decorated with white flowers and ribbons stood near the entrance.
Leila herself wore a white wedding dress and a beautiful snow-white hijab for almost the entire evening. The fabric completely covered her hair, neck, and lower face, leaving only her eyes visible.
At first, everything went perfectly normally.
The guests congratulated the newlyweds, took photos, raised toasts at the tables, and music played. But about two hours after the celebration began, the bride suddenly disappeared.
At first, no one even paid attention. Everyone assumed Leila had gone to fix her dress or simply rest for a moment.
However, nearly twenty minutes passed, and she still did not return.
The first person to worry was her younger sister, Emma. She began searching for Leila throughout the building and eventually noticed the half-open door of a small room at the far end of the hall.
When Emma entered, she screamed so loudly that the music in the neighboring room immediately stopped.
Leila was lying on the floor near the wall.
Her wedding bouquet lay beside her, and the white roses were scattered and trampled across the floor. The young woman was not moving and was not breathing.
An ambulance was called immediately, but the doctors could no longer do anything.
The strangest part was that no one could explain what had happened to a young, healthy woman in just a few minutes.
At around three in the morning, Leila’s body was taken to the city morgue.
That night, a nurse named Anna was on duty. She was used to difficult work and had seen many things over the years, but she remembered this young woman even before the body was brought in.
In the corridor, Anna met the deceased woman’s relatives.
Several women were quietly crying, the men stood a little apart, and outside the entrance to the building, the luxurious cars with white wedding ribbons were still there.
Adam was among the relatives too.
He barely spoke, but he repeated the same request to the morgue staff several times:
— Please do not uncover her face. The hijab must remain on her even during the examination.
The relatives explained that this was due to family and religious traditions and asked that their wish be respected.
Anna said nothing.
When the body was brought into the cold room and placed on a metal table, she began the usual preliminary examination.
Leila was still wearing her wedding dress. The white fabric of her hijab had been arranged so carefully that not a single strand of hair was visible. Only the young woman’s closed eyes remained uncovered.
At first glance, there was nothing unusual.
But the longer Anna looked at the deceased, the more a strange feeling troubled her.
She remembered the trampled flowers the police officers had mentioned. She remembered the husband’s insistence. And she was also surprised that the relatives spoke much more about the veil than about the cause of a young woman’s sudden death.
Anna tried to convince herself that she was simply too tired. But her intuition told her that she had to remove the veil. And when she finally saw the bride’s face, she ran out of the morgue in horror 🤯😨 The continuation of the story can be found in the first comment 👇👇
But then she noticed a small detail. Just beneath the edge of the white fabric near the neck, a dark mark was visible. She moved closer. It was a bruise.
Anna carefully lifted the edge of the fabric by only a few millimeters and saw another one.
Now there was almost no doubt left.
She looked at the door. No one was in the room.
For several seconds, the woman stood motionless, realizing that she was going against the family’s request. But her professional instinct told her that they had asked to hide the deceased woman’s face for reasons completely unrelated to tradition.
Anna slowly began to remove the white fabric.
First, the chin appeared. Then a cheek. At that moment, the nurse stopped abruptly. For several seconds, she simply stared at Leila, unable to believe her eyes.
Under the perfectly arranged bridal hijab was something completely different from the peaceful face Anna had expected to see.
There were numerous dark bruises on her cheeks and near her temple. A wound was visible on her lip, and the position of the lower part of her face looked unnatural.
Anna carefully examined her jaw and immediately understood—it was broken. Some of the injuries had clearly been hidden under the layers of fabric. Anna immediately called a doctor and notified the police.
After a full forensic examination, the initial theory of sudden natural death was ruled out.
The injuries showed that Leila had been brutally beaten shortly before she was found on the floor. And the trampled wedding bouquet now looked completely different. Most likely, the young woman had tried to resist.
The investigators immediately returned to the wedding hall and demanded recordings from every camera. They paid special attention to the corridor near the room where Leila had been found.
And on one of the recordings, they discovered something the deceased woman’s relatives clearly did not expect.
A few minutes before Leila’s death, one person entered the room after her.
And some time later, that person came out alone and calmly returned to the guests. It was Adam.
