The sick sheikh kept firing the nurses who were supposed to look after his health, until one day a simple young woman walked into his hospital room and did something that left him speechless for the first time in a very long time. 😱

“I said, get out of here!”

The sheikh had once again thrown another nurse out of his room.

Over the past few months, this had become a familiar scene for the entire hospital. No one was surprised anymore by another nurse crying in the hallway or by the loud shouting coming from the room of the richest patient. The nurses changed almost every day. Some could no longer endure the constant humiliation, others asked to be transferred to another department, and some quit right after their very first shift.

The sheikh was seriously ill and needed constant care, but he behaved as if the whole world owed him something. He spoke rudely to the doctors, threw documents on the floor, deliberately pressed the call button ten times an hour, and then said mockingly that he had changed his mind. If a nurse brought his medicine one minute late, he caused a huge scandal. If she brought it on time, he still found a reason to complain.

No one believed anymore that this man could change.

After another outburst, the door to the room closed again, and the sheikh was left alone. An awkward silence settled over the hospital. The head doctor understood that finding another nurse would be extremely difficult.

That same day, the job was offered to a young woman named Mary.

She was immediately warned that the patient was extremely difficult, not because of his illness, but because of his character. They honestly told her that no one before her had lasted even a single day.

Mary listened silently until the end.

She understood perfectly well what she was getting herself into, but she could not refuse. A few months earlier, her father had lost his job, the family could no longer keep up with the loan payments, and the bank had already begun preparing documents to seize their house. This job was her only chance to earn good money quickly.

The next morning, the young woman took a deep breath and entered the room.

She was truly afraid.

The sheikh did not even wait for her to come closer.

“Who are you? Get out of my room immediately!”

Mary calmly closed the door behind her, placed the folder with the documents on the small table, and began carefully reviewing the medical records, as if she had not heard his words at all.

This behavior immediately surprised the sheikh.

Usually, after his first shout, the nurses started making excuses or became nervous, but this young woman simply continued working calmly.

“You’ll run away from here in half an hour anyway, just like all the others.”

Mary raised her eyes and answered calmly:

“We’ll see.”

The sheikh smirked. He was sure that in a few minutes she would give up too. But he could not even imagine who this simple young woman really was and what she would do. 😳😱 You can find the second part of this story in the first comment. 👇👇

All day long, he tried to make her lose her temper. He asked for water, and when she brought him a glass, he said he had changed his mind. He demanded that the window be opened and then immediately ordered it shut. Several times, he deliberately dropped things on the floor and waited for Mary to become irritated.

But each time, the young woman silently did her job. By evening, this began to anger the sheikh even more.

The next day, everything repeated itself. Then again.

After a few days, he suddenly realized that, for the first time, he had failed to make someone lose their self-control.

On the fourth morning, Mary brought the medicine, placed it on the nightstand, and suddenly said calmly:

“May I ask you one question?”

The sheikh frowned.

“Ask.”

“Do you really want to recover?”

The question surprised him.

“Of course.”

“Then why do you drive away the people without whom you will never be able to get better?”

The room fell silent.

Mary did not accuse him and did not lecture him.

She simply continued:

“I read your medical history. It says here that you were once surrounded by dozens of people, but now no one from your family comes to visit. Not your sons, not your relatives, not your friends. Only the hospital staff. You are driving away the last people who are still willing to help you. Not because they are bad, but because you believe everyone only wants your money.”

For the first time, the sheikh said nothing.

The young woman turned around and calmly left the room.

All day, he sat silently looking out the window.

Her words would not leave him alone.

The next morning, when Mary entered with the medicine, he did not shout for the first time.

He only asked quietly:

“Do you really think the problem is me?”

Mary answered honestly:

“If more than twenty nurses have left you in just a few months, maybe the problem is not with twenty nurses.”

The sheikh remained silent for a long time.

After a few minutes, he unexpectedly said:

“In my entire life, no one has ever dared to say that to my face.”

From that day on, his behavior slowly began to change. Not immediately, and not overnight. Sometimes he still lost his temper, but each time afterward he apologized. The nurses stopped asking to be transferred, and the doctors noticed that the patient had become calmer and that the treatment was finally beginning to work.

Before he was discharged, the sheikh asked Mary to come into his room.

She thought he only wanted to say goodbye.

But instead, he handed her a folder.

Inside was a document from the bank.

It turned out that that morning he had fully paid off her family’s debt, and their house was no longer under threat.

Mary looked at him in confusion.

“Why?”

For the first time since they had met, the sheikh smiled sincerely.

“Because you were the first person who treated not my illness, but my character. If you had been frightened like everyone else, I would have remained the loneliest man in the world, despite all my money.”
