The wife and her lover decided to get rid of the husband in order to take possession of his enormous fortune: they tied the man up, fastened a heavy anchor to his legs, and threw him into the open ocean. When Daniel met Sofia, he was thirty-eight years old. By that time, he already owned a construction company, several houses, and a large yacht where he spent almost every weekend.
Sofia was twelve years younger than her husband. The first years of their marriage seemed perfect. She constantly said that money did not interest her, and Daniel truly believed her.
But after four years, everything changed.
Sofia met Mark. He worked as a personal trainer at an expensive sports club that she visited several times a week. At first, they only talked, but then they began meeting in secret.
A few months later, Mark asked:

Sofia smiled mockingly.

That was when the terrible plan first appeared. Sofia knew that her husband often took his yacht far away from the shore. If something happened to him at sea, no one would suspect her.

When the yacht was far from the shore, the man noticed Mark on the deck.

A few minutes later, they dragged Daniel to the edge of the yacht. Mark threw the anchor overboard first, then he and the security guard pushed the man into the water.
Sofia walked to the railing.

The search continued for two days. The body was not found. Sofia played the role of a grief-stricken widow perfectly. At the funeral without a body, she cried so convincingly that Daniel’s friends were the ones comforting her.
But there was one problem. A few days later, the lawyer informed Sofia that she could not receive the property immediately. Daniel’s death had to be officially confirmed, and the investigation had to be completed.
Two days later, police officers knocked on the door of the mansion.
Sofia was sure that they only had ordinary questions. But one of the detectives placed a photograph in front of her. In the photo was Daniel. Alive.
Sofia turned pale.
It turned out that Daniel had been diving for many years and always kept a small emergency kit on his yacht. When they threw him overboard, he managed to free one leg before the anchor pulled him down completely. But the most important thing happened later. Using his last strength, he made it back to the surface far behind the yacht. Two fishermen spotted him by chance and pulled him out of the water.
