I saved a crow I found with a wounded wing — and a week later, something very unexpected happened 😱 😱

I was coming home after a long day at work. It was drizzling — a light, unpleasant rain.

Suddenly, I heard a strange sound.

It wasn’t like a voice or a horn. It was a scream — piercing, plaintive. I stopped. The sound was coming from the bushes near an old playground.

I walked closer, bent down… and saw her. A crow. She was sitting there, soaking wet, feathers stuck to her body, and one wing hanging limply. The bird didn’t try to fly away. She just looked at me.

“Calm down, buddy. Let’s see what we can do,” I whispered, gently picking up the bird and hiding her under my jacket.

At home, I made a little corner for her in a box: warm towels, a heating pad, some water, and meat from the fridge. She drank, ate — suspiciously, but she ate.

A few days passed. The wing healed, the crow got stronger. At first, she flew around the room, then I started letting her out into the yard. But every evening, she came back.

Then… the bird disappeared. I waited a day, two, three. A week passed. I started to think the crow was gone for good. But exactly on the seventh morning, I heard the familiar cawing again.

I rushed to the window — and there she was. But not alone. Continued in the first comment 👇👇

There was something shiny in her beak. She carefully placed the object on the windowsill and flew into the room as if nothing happened. She flew around the ceiling, landed on the armrest of the sofa, and stared at me.

With trembling hands, I picked up the bunch of keys. On it was an old, worn keychain with my father’s initials.

My late father, who passed away a year ago. We lost these keys with him. We never found them.

How the crow knew — I don’t know. Maybe I never will.

But since that day, I have not only a warm memory of my father, but also a faithful friend with black wings and a human soul.
