To get rid of his wife, the husband ordered his guards to put her in a sack and set it on fire right before his eyes. But the man could never have imagined how his cruel act would end 😱
A few months earlier, Adrian decided that he no longer wanted to live with his wife, Laura. They had been married for almost twelve years, had started with practically nothing, and over time Adrian had built a successful business and become a very wealthy man.
But along with the money, his life had changed too. The man had a young mistress named Vanessa, with whom he spent more and more time, bought expensive gifts for, and promised that very soon they would be able to live together.
All that remained was to get divorced.
One day, Adrian placed some documents in front of his wife and calmly said:
— Sign them, and we’ll never see each other again.
Laura carefully read the papers and immediately understood why her husband was in such a hurry. According to the documents, she was not only supposed to agree to the divorce but also give up practically all the property they had acquired during their years of marriage.
— I’ll sign the divorce papers, but I won’t give up my share of the property, — the woman said firmly.
At first, Adrian tried to persuade her. Then he began threatening her, but Laura refused to change her mind.
So the man decided to frighten his wife so badly that she would agree to any conditions he gave her.
Adrian employed several guards who were accustomed to following his orders and almost never asked questions. He ordered them to grab Laura, tie her hands, and bring her to the courtyard of his country house.
A large metal table on wheels was already standing there, and beside it lay a huge, heavy sack.
Adrian had deliberately brought Vanessa there as well. He wanted his mistress to see how quickly he would solve the problem with his wife.
When Laura was brought into the courtyard, Adrian showed her the documents again.
— Last chance. Sign away your rights to the property.
— No, — the woman replied.
Adrian smirked and looked at the guards.
— Then begin.
At his command, the woman was put inside the large sack. It was tightly tied at both ends and placed on the metal table.
— Do you think I’m joking? — Adrian asked loudly, staring at the sack. — Now you’ll understand that you should have simply signed.
Vanessa stood beside the man, smiling as she watched what was happening.
One of the guards brought a blowtorch and held the flame to the edge of the sack. The fabric slowly began to catch fire.

He was sure that within a few seconds his wife would start screaming and begging him to stop, and then agree to sign anything he put in front of her.
But the seconds passed, the flames grew stronger, and not a single sound came from inside the sack.
— Why is she silent? — the man finally asked irritably.
The guards exchanged glances, but no one answered.
Adrian ordered them to put out the fire and untie the sack.
But just as one of the men started walking toward the table, the sound of sirens came from the street.
Adrian spun around.
Several police cars drove into the courtyard one after another.
— What’s going on? — the man shouted.
But none of the guards answered anymore.
Because Laura wasn’t inside the sack.
A few hours earlier, one of the guards, a man named Mateo, had secretly warned the woman about what her husband was planning to do. He had worked for Adrian for many years, but after hearing the order, he realized that this time things had gone too far.
Mateo helped Laura escape from the house through a service exit. Instead of her, he filled the sack with some old belongings, thick blankets, and heavy objects so that from the outside it would look as though there really was a person inside.
After that, Laura immediately went to the police.
And she didn’t go empty-handed.
Over the previous few weeks, she had managed to save her husband’s messages, recordings of his threats, and the documents he had used in an attempt to force her to give up her share of the property. Mateo also gave the police a recording of a conversation in which Adrian explained in detail to the guards exactly what they were supposed to do.
While Adrian stood beside his mistress enjoying the spectacle, believing that he had finally forced his wife to obey him, Laura was already sitting at the police station, telling investigators everything that had been happening in their home.
And the burning sack became the final piece of evidence they needed.
When the police officers entered the courtyard, Adrian still tried to convince them that everything that had happened was merely intended to frighten his wife and that he supposedly had never intended to hurt her.
