Born Without Legs and Mouth and with Little Chance of Being Adopted: A Family Heard Her Call

Despite having two beautiful children and a harmonious relationship, Nick Hayes and his wife wanted to adopt a third child.

So, the family decided to enroll in an adoption program for Filipino children.

A little girl named Melanie had very little chance of survival from birth and was quickly placed in a shelter, where she spent the first ten years of her life.

They saw photos of this special-needs child. Despite her condition, the couple felt a deep love for her.

Little Melanie was born without arms, without legs, without a mouth, and with many other medical complications.

Before the adoption, the Hayes were informed about the challenges they would face, but they were determined and continued with the adoption.

During the waiting months, they also prepared their own children for Melanie’s arrival.

Melanie’s world changed when she learned she would finally have a warm and loving home.

“We got out of the car and were led into a small room. Melanie came down the stairs with a big smile.

I had tears in my eyes, overwhelmed with emotion, even though I was filled with happiness,” Mrs. Hayes recalled, remembering the first meeting with Melanie.

The adoptive parents gave her a chance, and from that moment, their lives were filled with happiness.

They quickly formed a strong and loving bond, and Melanie began calling them Mom and Dad without hesitation.

Now, the family leads a normal, love-filled life, regularly attending their church.
