Street thugs were harassing a young woman and had pinned her against a wall, but in desperation, she called out to a passing man for help, addressing him by name without knowing who he really was 😱

The young woman had been standing with her back pressed against the cold wall of an old building for several minutes. Two men stood in front of her, and every time she tried to move aside, one of them blocked her path.

“Take out your money,” one of them said irritably. “And hand over your phone too.”

“I barely have anything,” the young woman replied in a trembling voice. “Please, just let me go.”

Her name was Emma. She was returning home from work and had decided to take a shortcut through a narrow street between old buildings. It was usually quite busy there, but it had started raining that day, so there were almost no pedestrians left.

The thugs had noticed the young woman near the intersection and followed her.

At first, Emma paid no attention to them, but they soon caught up with her.

One man snatched the bag from her hands, while the other pinned her against the wall.

“Tell me your phone’s passcode,” he demanded.

“I told you I don’t have any money!”

“We’ll check that now.”

The man opened her bag and began throwing her belongings directly onto the wet pavement.

Emma looked around. She wanted to scream, but the street was almost deserted. Cars were passing far beyond the intersection, and the windows of the nearest buildings were closed.

Suddenly, she noticed someone.

A tall man in his forties was walking slowly along the other side of the street. He was wearing a black leather jacket, dark trousers, and heavy boots. He had short hair, a beard, and such a stern face that, under different circumstances, Emma herself would have tried to stay away from someone like him.

But at that moment, he was her only hope.

The man walked past without even looking in their direction.

Then Emma did the first thing that came to mind.

She looked directly at the stranger and screamed with all her strength:

“Peter! Peter, save me!”

The man stopped. The thugs froze as well.

Emma herself did not understand why she had chosen that particular name. It was probably simply the first one that came to mind.

She decided to pretend that she knew the stranger.

“Peter!” she shouted again. “Please!”

The man slowly turned his head. For several seconds, he simply stared at the young woman.

At that moment, Emma could not even imagine who this stranger really was or what would happen to her just a few minutes later. 😰😮 You can find the rest of the story in the first comment 👇👇

He saw the belongings scattered across the ground, her frightened face, and the hand of one of the men holding her against the wall.

Then his expression changed.

He turned around and walked toward them.

“Is she your girlfriend or something?” one of the thugs sneered.

The stranger said nothing.

“Man, keep walking. We’re just talking here.”

But Peter continued to approach them.

Emma suddenly noticed something strange.

About twenty meters behind him, three more men dressed in dark clothing appeared.

A few seconds later, two more men stepped out of a black car parked by the roadside.

The smile vanished from the thug’s face.

“Who are you people?”

Peter stopped in front of him.

“She asked me for help.”

“We didn’t know she was with you.”

Peter looked at Emma.

“I don’t know her either.”

Silence fell.

Emma felt her hands turn ice-cold.

Only then did she realize that she might not have chosen the safest person to rescue her.

One of the men standing behind Peter stepped closer.

“Boss, is everything all right?”

When the thugs heard the word “boss,” they exchanged glances.

Peter gave an almost imperceptible nod.

His bodyguards immediately surrounded the men and forced them to move away from the young woman.

“Give everything back,” Peter ordered calmly.

The bag, phone, and wallet were immediately placed on the ground in front of Emma.

“We’re leaving,” one of the thugs muttered.

“Not yet.”

There was neither anger nor menace in his voice, but that was precisely what frightened them most.

A few minutes later, the police arrived. It turned out that one of Peter’s bodyguards had called them as soon as he saw what was happening.

The thugs were arrested.

When everything was over, Emma picked up her bag and approached the stranger.

“Thank you.”

Peter looked at her silently.

“I’m sorry I called you Peter. I honestly don’t know why I chose that name.”

The bodyguards suddenly exchanged glances.

One of them even smiled.

Emma frowned.

“What is it?”

For the first time, the stranger smiled slightly.

“Because my name really is Peter.”

Emma froze.

“Seriously?”

“Seriously.”

But she discovered the most surprising thing a little later.

Peter was the head of one of the city’s most influential clans. His name was known to the owners of major companies, politicians, and people whom ordinary citizens preferred never to encounter. That was why he was constantly accompanied by bodyguards.

That evening, he had ended up on that street entirely by chance.

Before leaving, Peter took out a business card and handed it to Emma.

“Take it.”

“Why?”

“If these men or any of their friends ever come near you again, call this number.”

Emma carefully took the card.

“What should I say?”

Peter was already heading toward the car, but he stopped and looked back over his shoulder.

“Just say, ‘Peter, save me.’”

A few seconds later, the black cars drove away, while Emma remained standing in the rain for a long time, holding the business card in her hand.
