😱 😱 I found an old dresser without drawers in the trash and transformed it into an elegant piece, 😊 as seen in the before-and-after photos…👇 👇👇
😊 I finally brought to life an idea I’ve had for a long time. I decided it would be perfect for our porch.👇
Removing the old finish turned out to be surprisingly easy: I simply used dish soap and a steel sponge.
I bought cheap acrylic paint in “Moss Green” from Ozon, but I wasn’t satisfied with its quality. I ended up using leftover acrylic paint from a previous project and golden rust-resistant paint from restoring a Czechoslovakian piece of furniture.
To hide a rough joint on the top of the dresser, I applied wooden moldings, fixed with glue and reinforced with small nails.
To replace the missing drawers, I made doors with market moldings, attached with glue, brackets, and a stapler. Unfortunately, the wood slightly warped as it dried, as I had bought it in August.
I used metal mesh from the dacha for the doors, painted it gold, and secured it to the frame with a stapler after folding the edges.
Finally, I added hinges and handles, using vintage brass pieces from my collection.
The renovated dresser is now ready for use!
However, given its current condition, it might be better placed in a more permanent location than the porch.
